This time last year we were spending all available time with my Dad before he passed on Dec 5th, 2021. Even with the restrictions that COVID brought upon us, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were able to spend some quality time with him during his final days. As a family we were so comforted by the support and love all the staff and volunteers brought into his room every day. Christmas was a very special time of year for my Dad and he loved putting up lights and decorating the 11' tree in his big bay window. Over the years his grandchildren took on the tasks of setting up the tree and decorating both the tree and his house as he delighted in his new supervisory role. Watching his grandkids grow and blossom into adults with families of their own brought him more 6 more treasures to love. Dad also enjoyed watching Murder She Wrote so this donation of cable service is right in line with that guilty pleasure. This year we celebrate John Newman, his memory and his life of love & service with Lights of Love.
