Lights of Love

Holiday Campaign

When you donate to the Lights of Love holiday campaign, you're giving a gift of home comfort for someone in our community facing life threatening illness, the end of life or grieving a loved one.

Give a light of love

This holiday season, help us light up Rotary Hospice with love.

The holidays are traditionally a time of joy and celebration with family and friends; for those missing a loved one, it can be an especially nostalgic time. Again this year, we invite you to consider a gift to our 5th annual Lights of Love Holiday Campaign in memory or honour of someone special.

This year, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, December 5th at 7pm as we gather in person under the Pavilion on the Greenwood Court property next to the entrance of Rotary Hospice. Join us for music, hot chocolate, readings and a time to remember and reflect as we light up Rotary Hospice with love and light.

Please note: this is an outdoor event so please dress for the weather, and park on Greenwood Drive or Norwood Court.

"As my mom took her final breaths, there were two words that I told my mom: she was safe and she was loved. It felt like those words came out so naturally, it's not what I thought I would say. But I truthfully think I said those words because safety and love is what hospice care is." - Brittany Petrie, daughter of Debra Sterkenburg who spent eight weeks at Rotary Hospice in the fall of 2022.

When dedicating a Light of Love, please include the name of the person you are recognizing along with any message you wish to share. We will include this on the Lights of Love recognition page on this site, and in our hospice home.

The list will be updated regularly until December 31, 2023.

Donations of $20 or more will be issued a tax receipt; donations of $2,500 or more will be added to the annual giving wall in the hospice.

Your gift this holiday season will wrap Rotary Hospice not only in lights but also in love! Thank you.
